Hilly

I am Hilde Verweij and live with my husband, children and dog in the beautiful North Brabant town of Oirschot.

For me, working with clay is more than technique, a craft or a hobby that got out of hand…. it is the point where everything in my life comes together. This is because I control the total process from idea to final product. After my teacher training and design studies, I entered the world of styling. A beautiful and creative profession! For years I did this with great pleasure and I still do this on a freelance basis.

But the world of ceramics has really touched me deeply. I get joy from designing and making objects that we use every day, but are also a jewel by their shape and color. And when I see the enthusiasm when a “Hilly” is unwrapped, I know that my work also makes others happy.
